Being the first city to be declared as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1978, Quito offers to its visitors, magnificent parks, churches and plazas dated from the XVI century to present.
We’ll guide you to the Historical Center for you to admire the exceptional charisma of the main square or “Plaza Grande” and its surrounding palaces: Presidential, Municipal and Archbishop’s. The Cathedral and its richness, the imposing church of la Compañia de Jesús and its finest baroque architecture and the character of the ancient monastery of San Francisco will be the highlights of this visit.
Continue northwards to the monument that marks the latitude 0º 00’ 00” better known in the world as the Equator, locally known as the Middle of the World. Here you can literally jump from the northern to southern hemisphere of the planet. This tour includes a visit to the Inti Ñan Museum, a clever and fun, didactical museum about the influence of the equator in daily live.

Departure to the Amazon by road or by plane according to the chosen lodge for 3 nights/ 4 days.
Both High Amazon and Deep Amazon tours, include activities of hiking in the jungle, fluvial navigation on board of the local canoes on the Amazon River tributaries and cultural approach to the native indigenous communities.
The detailed daily itinerary will be given once the lodge has been chosen.

Departure from the lodge by road or plane according to regular logistics of the chosen lodge and continuation to Cotopaxi Province for accommodation and dinner.

We leave the region early in the morning through the “Avenue of Volcanoes” to the famous indigenous handicraft market of Salasaca, then we descend the eastern slopes of the Andes through the Route of Waterfalls, cross above the Pastaza River on a local cable car and do a hike to observe the Pailón del Diablo Waterfall. Return to the town of Baños de Agua Santa for lunch.
Visit the Sanctuary and the vegetable ivory handicrafts and traditional hand pulled candy workshops. Take a chance to walk in the colorful town or enjoy the benefits of the thermal springs that have made this town world famous. Accomodation.

We leave towards the Chimborazo Volcano, the highest one in Ecuador. We arrive to the first refuge at 4800m on our vehicle. We start the downhill road on a mountain bike, on a route of approximately 3 hours on intermediate difficulty, that will allow us to immerse ourselves into the andean paramo landscape under the attentive observation of the vicuña herds characteristic of this Natural Reserve. Continuation by vehicle to Riobamba for accommodation and dinner.

Early in the morning we’ll leave the city of Riobamba to head to the town of Alausí in the Chimborazo Province, where we’ll board the train. We’ll have a chance to enjoy the most impressive part of this railway going into the “Devil’s Nose”, a geographical formation that has led to a zigzagging railway perched on the Andes cliffs.
Return to Alausí on the train for lunch. Afterwards we’ll start our way to Ingapirca for accomodation and dinner.

We’ll start our day visiting the Archaeological Complex of Ingapirca the best preserved and most important Inca Site in Ecuador. Continuation towards Cojitambo Hill, one of the three sacred hills for the ancient Cañari people, where besides an archaeological site and a 360º sightseeing point, there are 120 signaled climbing routes of different difficulty levels to satisfy each individual required intensity. Box lunch.
Continuation towards Cuenca for dinner and accommodation.

Have a guided visit through the highlights of the historical area of this beautiful World Heritage. Visit its characteristic plazas, churches and streets. The pink marble Cathedral, the Calderon Park, the Flowers Square, and the Broken Bridge and Barranco over the Tomebamba River make this an unforgettable city, considered to be the most beautiful one in Ecuador. Visit also the Factory/Museum of the world famous but misnamed Panama hats. A four hours city tour where the visitor will have a chance to photograph and learn the stories, legends and traditions of Saint Anne of the Four Rivers of Cuenca. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards we’ll head to the zone of Bibín where we will be able to experience different “flight positions” in the 8 installed lines for the practice of this sport.
Return to the hotel in Cuenca.

Early in the morning we head towards the Cajas National Park, that only 30 minutes away, is waiting for us with an altitude difference of over 1500m and the richness of the andean paramo, where we will enjoy the beauty of the Andes, its landscapes and flora. We will have a short walk to enjoy this nature wonder recognized as Worldwide Biosphere Reserve. Lunch in the area. Continuation to the city of Guayaquil descending through the Andes slopes with its intense contrast of landscapes, climate and color. Arrival to Guayaquil at the end of the afternoon.

Transfer to the airport for continuation to Galapagos or International flights.
