Ecuador owes its name to the latitude 0º 00’ 00” better known in the world as the Equator, locally known as the Middle of the World, where a monument marks this site in the memory of locals and visitors. Here you can literally jump from the northern to southern hemisphere of the planet.

This tour includes a visit to the Ethnographic Museum on site. You’ll have some time to do some handicraft shopping or simply enjoy a cup of good coffee in the tourist complex. We’ll continue to visit the Inti Ñan Museum a clever and fun, didactical museum about the influence of the equator in daily live. Then we’ll continue to the view point of the Geo-botanical Reserve of Pululahua, one of the few inhabited craters around the world where a selection of Ecuadorian cuisine will be served for lunch at the restaurant on the very border of it.
